Wang Zhenyi is an awesome 18th Century astronomer, mathematician, poet and feminist activist, one of the greatest Chinese scholars. In addition to writing multiple books on astronomy and mathematics and writing poetry about social injustice, she travelled, befriended fellow female poets and scientists, and learned horse-riding, archery and martial arts with the wife of a Mongolian general. What a badass woman.

Lise Meitner - An Austrian-Swedish nuclear physicist and the first woman in Germany to hold a professorship in physics. She was part of the team who discovered nuclear fission. However, her laboratory male partner received a Nobel for the work and never acknowledged her contribution. Meitner refused to have anything to do with the Manhattan project and the atomic bomb. Her other discoveries include the isotope protactinium and the cause of the Auger effect.

Ada Lovelace: A 19th Century English mathematician and writer. She is often regarded as the first to recognise the full potential of a "computing machine" and the first computer programmer. She also developed a vision of the capability of computers to go beyond mere calculating. "The Analytical Engine] might act upon other things besides number, (...) Supposing, for instance, that the fundamental relations of pitched sounds in the science of harmony and of musical composition were susceptible of such expression and adaptations, the engine might compose elaborate and scientific pieces of music of any degree of complexity or extent."
